East Walker River Fishing Report

The East is still running at about 25 cfs, it will likely stay that way for the next several months. We haven’t had too many reports lately from the river but of the few we have received it sounds like there’s some fish being caught, not a lot but some. Some anglers are reporting getting into 2 or 3 fish per day, mostly on small midge patterns and a few on streamers. It’s been pretty cold lately so the best time to be down there is from about 10 to 3 or so. Usually the weather warms up a bit during January so when this happens things should get better down there.
Recommended Flies:
Flashback emerger, soft hackle, copper john, dark lord, pheasant tail, zebra midge, silver streak, rainbow warrior, top secret midge, darth baetis, moal leech, zuddler, sculpzilla.
