The East is still running at about 25 cfs, it will likely stay that way for the next several months. The angling pressure has been minimal down there so reports are kind of few and far between. Of the couple anglers we did talk to this week it sounds like the fishing was much like it was last week, lots of fish in the 10 to 15 inch range with a few here and there pushing 20. Small midge patterns have still been the best with just a couple fish coming in on streamers. There are still good numbers of fish both above and below the bridge. Above the bridge they’re mainly hanging out in the deeper pools while below the bridge they’re hanging out in the pocket water. With the colder weather lately I’d still say the best time to fish is from about 10 to 3 during the day.
Recommended Flies:
Flashback emerger, soft hackle, copper john, dark lord, pheasant tail, zebra midge, silver streak, rainbow warrior, top secret midge, darth baetis, moal leech, zuddler, sculpzilla.
