The Bass bite is good at Canyon Lake TX, Crappie bite is fair

Water murky; 70-74 degrees; 7.40' low. Black bass are fair on chartreuse Rat-L-Traps and white spinnerbaits in 6-15 feet, and on Texas rigged grape Scoundrel worms on shaky head jigs along main lake bluffs. Striped bass are fair jigging blade baits and trolling deep running crankbaits over and around humps at first light. White bass are slow. Smallmouth bass are fair on Smokin' Green Devil's Tongues on drop shots and pumpkin Curb's jigs with matching drop shot worms along ledges and over rock piles in 10-20 feet early. Crappie are fair on minnows and white tube jigs upriver. Channel catfish are fair on shrimp and stinkbait. Yellow and blue catfish are slow.
