Still not too much angling going on down on the river this past week though I did talke to one angler who spent a few hours on the Nevada side with no success and another two anglers who spent a few hours on the California side and were able to hook up a few fish but got none to the net. The weather has still been pretty stormy, not as cold as during the last report but still a bunch of snow and lows between about +5 to +20 each night. Still expecting snow off and on all this week as well. It sounds like the Sierra has about an average of 140% snowpack so far with some drainages coming in much higher than that. If there’s a break in the weather and you are going to hit up the river I’d be mainly thinking of small nymphs and secondly some streamers. I’m still looking forward to a great late February and March down there once the weather breaks! Should be plenty of water and once it warms up and the flows come up just a bit the fishing should be great!!
